From todays CNBC Press Conference.
President Bush: I think the Iraqi survey group has done its work and I appreciate David Kaye's consolidation. I said in the run-up to the war into n Iraq I hope the international community would take care of him and the United Nations would enforce his resolutions, one of many.
We went to the United Nations, of course, and got an overwhelming resolution, 1441, unanimous resolution that said to Saddam you must disclose and destroy your weapons programs. But that obviously meant the world felt he had these programs. He chose defiance. It was his choice to make and did not let us in.!!! I said in the run-up that Saddam was a grave and gathering danger, that is what I said. And I believed it then, and I know it was true now. And as Mr. Kaye said that Iraq was a dangerous place, and given the circumstances of September 11, given the fact that we are vulnerable to believe attack, this nation had to act for our security.
What a GIGANTIC PANT LOAD!!!
This should be broadcast as an outright LIE or is he just in such a fantasy world? (which is worse)
