Daily Show - Interview with the Evil One |
|
Jon Stewart had Richard Perle as tonight's guest. Nothing too earthshattering, but he did get Perle to say the war on Iraq's main benefit was to set an example.
I hope they disinfect the couch.

2. Jon did well, deconstructed him in the lead-out. :-) |
|
Jon ALWAYS uses that trick on displeasing guests--he blasts them in the leadout where they can't get the last word. :)

7. Something Else Got Out |

In the portion where they were talking about Saudi Arabia. It wasn't said outright, it wasn't even connect the dots. But it was enough to cast the possibility of Saudi foreknowledge about the attacks. If you consider the BFEE ties to the Saudis and the Bin Ladens ...

Jon is REALLY good at handling these drips, however high-priced the drips may be. The irony is, many of the questions were more substantial than your Wolf Blitzer or Judy Woodruff would ask. :(

3. Jon needs a shower and fast. |
|
I noticed the interview was a bit strained. So Perlepoo wrote a book. Anyone going to read it?

9. Perle is dangerous. Jon did very well. |
|
Perle is Cheney's guy. There is the impression of a war between PNAC and the old guard. A battle for what little there is of Bush's brain...

11. Then he sarcastically said "when it's all over Canada will be there to |
|
help"....As he well knows Canada has the most troops in AFGHANISTAN (remember Afghanistan?) except for the Americans....We did not join the Iraq attack, but he and the Bush government refuse to recognize our contribution in Afghanistan...As a matter of fact another Canadian soldier was killed there today....

12. Any guesses what Rick Mercer's lead-in will be on Monday? |
|
What a tactful little "Perle of wisdom" that was, to be sure.

14. watching it now. That man gives me the CREEPS |
|
He is such a worm. Maybe he is a reptilian shapeshifting alien. :)
That would certainly explain everything. He and Frum both look like something from "Men in Black". I could easily see his head split open and some little alien pop out.
