I despair of the UK.

The most lasting achievement of Thatcherism is that one of her most fervent disciples took over and destroyed the Labour Party.

Today, the Hutton report showed that the establishment has taken Blair to its heart and - as when Thatcher was in power - will lie, distort and dissemble in order to cover up for his misdeeds.

I see only one ray of hope on the horizon: that a good Democratic president can change the direction and discourse of western and global politics.

Otherwise we're all off the hell in a handcart.
