And it is infuriating. I was home sick and watching him make the rounds on cable news all day. Kay is clearly covering for the administration. He has been given his marching orders. The CIA misled us all. Bullshit.
The corruption runs so god damn deep.

1. Ummm.....he wouldn't have a job otherwise. |
|
They break the law, than hire their friends to clear them of the crime. It's the BushCo way.
Anything less..........................would be uncivilized!

2. I agree he's shilling for bushco |
|
He's putting all the blame on intel and NONE on this misadministration. He was one of the true believers and he's still on the team.

4. I noticed his phrasing was careful |
|
"the people that I spoke with worked with me and never felt pressured by the administration" or something to that effect. Didn't he get on board AFTER the war? Technically, it is ambiguous as to the period of time the "pressure" element was referenced. What about the Scott Ritter types - he was lambasted for acusing pressure tactics, saying that certain CIA people were trying to distort evidence and pressure the way reports were presented way back when - going back to the inspections following GW1. He claimed that they were manufacturing evidence about Saddam and thats why the inspectors were thrown out the first time. He was branded a traitor and blacklisted. Whatever happened to him. It would be really interesting to hear what he has to say right about now. I imagine Kay is being much more careful as to how he phrases his sentences or he might be blackballed too.

5. Kay was one of Poppy's boys |
|
He has been given the mission of getting Junior out of the cesspool of lies over Iraq. Me thinks it is too little too late. Few are going to buy it now. The intel was not bad. The lies were just not believable.
Better luck, next time, Mr. Rove. You blew the hell out of this one. And I have to think that the intel community are not going to take this one quietly. The payback is likely being planned now. Hold onto your seats. This game has just begun.

8. Actually, I thought Kay's mission was to do the planting. |
|
The fact that the hunt for WMD was "outsourced" to a private company that has done very well by the Bush's, makes me nervous. His very public statements admitting to not finding them could well be cover.
Cheney is still going on the record that they exist...either he's denying reality bigtime or they will find the smoking gun sometime mid-summer.

6. Question: If the administration wasn't "sexing up" the intelligence, |
|
why did they take revenge on Joe Wilson for telling the truth?

7. Where is the outrage? They sent 500+ kids and family members to their |
|
deaths and many more are crippled for life. Where is the god damned outrage? Rather, they choose to stonewall and do an investigation themselves. They were pressuring the CIA. They can deny it all they want but they knew what they were doing and they knew it was wrong.

9. Deep corruption and the CIA? |
|
It's hard for me to buy that "The CIA misled us all." They are just talking up how we need to completely overhaul our CIA and intelligence gathering agencies. Really makes you want to laugh if it wasn't so darn sad. Sad being--people really believe this crap? We need to overhaul Bush and company. The CIA didn't turn over their own agent, Valerie Plame. The CIA may just turn on the Bush administration. I wish!
