I live in the town he represented. He cut a deal with the Pensacola News Journal; if he resigned quietly they wouldn't publish how he knocked up his page and had to later get a messy divorce. All the local wingers never questioned why he resigned so suddenly after winning a landslide 3rd term. Scarborough was in Washington when his staffer was found dead in her Florida office. It is irresponsible to say "he murdered her" -- although the suspicious circumstances of her death and Scarborough's actions to quash inquiries do indicate he has something to fear from an investigation.
