Everything Changed Last Night - It's Over
stick a fork in him, he is done.

For those of you who didn't watch Ellen Mariani and Phil Berg on Scarbrough last night - it was powerful. I was in shock and I was jumping up and down with joy. That's it. The cat is out of the bag and it's not going back in. Scarbrough let Mariani and Phil Berg have their say - and he said "we are going to be watching this very closely and will have them back to check on their progress" - (the lawsuit against Bush*). I think this means the media is now ready to break this story - and Bush* is done. If Scarbrough wants to be the hero in his story - that is okay by me. As long as this story gets told!

This is the key - if you are a MIHOP'r or LIHOP'r or just curious or suspicious...... PLEASE I BEG OF YOU - to write Scarbrough and thank him for having them on. You can't imagine how huge this was. I can't beleive it happened. The corporations are ready to cut Bush loose, the writing is on the wall.

The Democrats are a shoe-in now - so let's forget about electibility or who can beat Bush - because now any of them can - we can all vote with our hearts I believe - we don't have to trade one insider for another.

2. Ellen Mariani is the 9/11 Widow who is suing
Bush* under the RICO statute and Phil Berg is her attorney. That interview was very DAMNING of Bush* - and they are not backing down. Scarbrough was letting them speak. It was huge. They laid it all out - and said in no uncertain terms that Bush Knew and did nothing.

29. And now that the Inferior Court has established the precedent of
allowing a citizen's suit against a sitting president, we'll see how they try to squiggle out of this one. Unfortunately, nothing big will probably happen in the suit until after election time.

Wonder if they'll try to say they can't sue because "we're at war"? They might just as well just throw out the case by saying, "that was Clinton", this is Bush." The hypocrits.

74. Fringe issues make us lose credibility
It's not a good idea to pin your hopes on election victory that someone is going to sue the President and somehow let everyone else know the truth about him.

We sound like the people who kept backing Paula Jones and that other woman in thier accusations against BC. That didn't work for them. Let's put up better candidates instead.

14. Read about Mariani here:
http://www.septembereleventh.org/ellenmariani.php

Statement of the Case

On November 26, 2003, Ellen Mariani filed a civil RICO action lawsuit against President Bush and other high level members of his administration, based upon prior knowledge of 9/11; knowingly failing to act; prevent or warn of 9/11; and the ongoing obstruction of justice by covering up the truth of 9/11; all in violation of the laws of the United States.

Phil Berg is Mariani's lawyer.

8. We MUST e-mail, call or write - thank him
This is it - it is our chance to make real change. Please - I don't have the link but I'll find it - we must show our support for the truth. It DOES matter especially if they are getting pressure from the White House - I was shocked it was shown. I figured for sure there would be a sudden cancellation. If we want to take our country back - the time is now. We MUST do this.

I just wrote - this may be the most important thing we can do right now - please, please write him!!!!!!!!!!

Just as a side note - for those who think it may not matter - okay I'm a Survivor freak, or at least I have become one - and only because of Rupert - I wasn't going to watch and I was so struck by this guy that I couldn't help myself - I was so pissed when he was voted off - HOWEVER - reading TV Guide last week - Rupert was picked for the All Star Survivor and the host of the show said he was a shoe in - because never has the show seen so many calls and letters when he got kicked off, they said their switchboard was lit up for hours - it matters.

38. I just wrote, also. Got the auto-response, but no matter.
These things DO make a difference.

Truly!

My side note: I was in radio for a lotta years and even ONE letter that came in (this was before email) was given lots of respect and weight. It was also presumed that one letter actually represented anywhere from 10 to 100, sometimes several hundred, depending on the size of the market, who did not write in, because they were apathetic, too busy, forgot, got distracted, did feel that way but not strongly enough to want to send a letter somewhere, pre-discouraged - assuming it wouldn't make any difference, or unsure that this was really something you could actually do - write in to a station. Phone calls were valued similarly. Why do you think they have request lines - complete altruism? Sure, to play something you want, but it's extremely valuable information to them to hear what people say they prefer. That's one of the ways they guage sales. That's how they know minute-to-minute what's hot, instead of waiting for the research to come in. ALL that input carries weight. And the more of it they get, the more they will eventually feel compelled to respond.

I agree with your last sentence completely. Voting who we think is most electable is a huge mistake, anyhow. Was Ross Perot electable? Not even close, but look at what he accomplished on passion alone. Now, think of what someone with that passion and the backing of an established major party could do.

Also, I caught Scarbrough the other night and was shocked.. it was almost like a Bill Moyers interview. He was talking to a liberal and he rarely interrupted, didn't talk over the guy, didn't make fun of him and actually said "you raise some interesting points." Not what I expected.

11. That was very strange of Scarbrough, I agree.
What was weird about it is that the guests didn't come across as nuts, which is what I would have expected from Scarbrough. It was all a discussion as if the grieving widow had a point to make in demanding to know exactly what happened.

I kept waiting for Scarbrough to "reveal" she didn't really lose her husband on 9/11 or that the widow was in an insane asylum for most of her life.

He has recovered from whatever was wrong with him, maybe it cleared his brain, never mind. Either way it was very strange, what was he up to?

30. It's interesting that even DUers don't know about the lawsuit
If even some internet savvy liberals don't know about this, how many people whose perception of the world is framed by faux news could possibly be aware of the lawsuit? This just really points out how well the story has been hidden. Hate to state the obvious but I will anyway-Paula Jones, Paula Jones, Paula Jones 24/7.
And while I'm at it-Gary Condit, Gary Condit, Gary Condit.....

Another point: NPR reported this morning that Bush won NH easily against (un-named) crossover Dem candidate. Uh, John Buchannan maybe, who happens to be connecting * to 9/11? Oh, no. Don't mention that. Wouldn't want to plant any doubt in the sheeple's minds.

I sent an e-mail to the 9/11 Citizens Action Committee pleading with all of them to write and this is a response I received:

Thanks, we just thanked Joe per your message, and forwarded your message on
to our lists. We agree, we think something began to shift last night. We've
arranged:
2 TV interviews
5 radio interviews
4 major area newspaper interviews
for Ellen & Phil when the arrive in Kansas City, and will be running a 2 week
series of radio ads informing area citizens of their KC presentation. We
believe our efforts will have exposed up to 500,000 are residents of Ellen &
Phil's case by the time we're done.

and I was especially surprised when the lawyer was saying how tiny the chances were that during the 19 minutes or so after the stewardess' call that no military jets were sent up. And the chances were even less that after the first plane hit that still the military wasn't put into action. He was allowed to finish his sentences and made all of his points. I'm just afraid very few people saw it - I've only watched that show twice and no one else I know ever watches it. Our best hope is that other news organizations will pick it up now.

Another attack? Would be too obvious.....

Raising the threat level - everyone is ammune to it now - nobody care

I think they're done - anything they'd try to do at this point would get them nowhere. Too many people are on to them - anything resembling a 9/11 would bring out the masses IMO.

66. Maybe this is the plan
It's called, in police speak, "grab and run." Or, something like that. I mean, a dem comes in and straightens out their mess and gets the money flowing again. They dis the dem and get elected; grab the money and disappear, only to rear their heads again when there is something to grab. They've about bankrupted us now, so in comes the knight on a white horse who cleans it all up for them to begin again. Am I a cynic? YEAH.

The most recent one there right now is 1/26 (Monday) so it appears to take 2 days to get the transcript posted. I didn't find any video, but we sure can all wait 2 days and go back and read it when it's posted.

In spite of the fact that I disagree with Joe on about everything, I watch his show often. He is often amusing and actually kinda likeable.

62. I'll believe it when I see it.
Saw that part of the show and it was OK. I thought he treated them like tin-foil hatters myself, just kind of a "let them keep talking and bury themselves" attitude. Maybe I've just seen the way he operates too often.

Personally, I doubt she'll get anywhere with her lawsuit.

64. the other thing that just happened
was chris matthews let dean speak uninterrupted - yes I know, unbelievable! It was great to hear him speak in a common sense way about the republicans foreign policy record for the last 30 years and the mess we've created, citing central america, afghanistan and reagan years iraq, by enabling bad guys because they were an enemy of our enemy. Finally!!

65. Scarborough
I missed that Scarborough show. Well, I missed it because I really cannot stand the creep, and only rarely can bring myself to stomach him. (I also force myself to watch a little of HANNITY & COLMES from time to time.)

However, it sounds as if Scarborough actually did something good — for once.

I am skeptical that this lawsuit will ever go anywhere. BushCo is mean and powerful.

It has always seemed peculiar to me that fighter jets were not up and in pursuit very quickly. But then there was that ridiculous period of many hours when Bush was flying all over the country, as if some turbo-charged Al-Qaeda crop duster would overtake him. We have an enormous Air Force, but the pResident had to go on the lam, like Bonnie and Clyde, instead of just letting the Air Force protect him?

As much as I really do have a conspiratorial interpretation of many events of the last half-century, I tend to think that the BushCo people were all just bumbling idiots.

67. Why does everyone change their opinions of people so quick
Edited on Thu Jan-29-04 10:13 PM by Cat Atomic
around here? Scarborough is the same conservative, corporate media whore he was two days ago, you know. He runs one story (that I seriously doubt anyone else will pick up on), and suddenly everyone's talking about how they always liked him.

I didn't see the whole thing, but what I did see didn't seem like anything more than Scarborough trying to shock his audience.

Joseph Scarborough is not a journalist, and he's certainly not a trustworthy man. He's still a prick.

69. maybe they are getting ready to cancel Joe
so they let him run with a few semi-liberal shows to get DU all stoked up about him, just so they can dash our hopes once more?

Wouldn't put it past them.

71. I will send him some e-mail
He's had a couple decent guests to whom he's behaved civilly lately. Let's let him know he can double his audience by actually being "Fair & Balanced"

75. I can't believe that Scarborough has changed spots, but it's still great
news. I worry about this, though. Scarborough is one mean vicious winger and he had that intern who died in his office and shortly after decides not to run for he House again in Fla., but then gets that job on MSRNC. I couldn't watch him he was so bad.

But, he was quiet when Symbolman was on and I missed the Mariani/Berg piece so who knows what's up with that! Very curious. I can't wait to read the transcript!
