A big article about Central Air
The new liberal radio network where Al Franken will be going up against Limpballs. This is the biggest article I've seen about this network yet. For example:

Most programming will be produced in the network's midtown Manhattan studio, which they've been occupying since December. The New York-generated content will be supplemented by material out of studios in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. While the network has yet to finalize its staff, this much is set: When it launches in March or April, it will broadcast 14 to 18 hours a day, seven days a week, on stations it is buying -- or whose airtime it will lease -- in major cities like New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Miami, Pittsburgh and Boston, says Mark Walsh, the chief executive officer of Progress Media, which he co-founded and which is the parent company of Central Air. "In division, there's a media opportunity," Mr. Walsh continues. "In a divided nation, at least there are opinions, information which takes a side."

I'm very glad they've said both Pittsburgh and Philaldelphia. Democrats have to win Pennsylvania. They need to get on the air in Ohio and some of those other swing states too.

2. I hope they farm out some of the broadcasting
To local small stations that can pick up certain shows or blocks so the hinterlands gets some thoughtful Liberal/Dem view.

5. here I was
Thinking somebody was posting an article about how central air conditioning is bad or something (after I finally broke down and got it last year), and I get this pleasant surprise.

Hopefully, they can expand in to smaller markets.

6. Keeping in mind...
that i.e. america radio will cease to exist on February 27 (if not sooner) and Mike Malloy, Thom Hartmann and the rest may be un-employed! Malloy DEFINITELY needs to be there!

7. I love Malloy
He absolutely cracks me up. Some day his head is going to explode for sure. I can't listen to him at night but a lot of time I listen to his archived shows while I'm working around the house. In fact you can get just about every liberal radio show here: http://www.whiterosesociety.org/

8. We need this in Northeast Fla.
I'm in St Augustine and the only AM station here has Rush, Savage, and Laura Ingham, with Dr Den Adell in between and late evening Jim Bohanan. Get a Jacksonville station during the day, but they are even worse with a line up of Bortz, then Rush then Insanity. We lose the JAX AM station after sunset. We need a new station down here with alternative programming. Everyones getting brainwashed because the only AM stations they can get during the day are right wing conservative.
