In other good news, Washington's Senior Democrat, Governor Gary Locke, won't be running for re-election. Hopefully, some future regime will put that scumbag behind bars, where most of Washington State's Republicans and Democrats alike belong.

If the Bush twins gained say 15 years of age, 20kilos of fat, and let their minds be furthermore destroyed by a continued overindulgence in the subtle are of sport drinking, they would be considered the perfect candidate for Bellevue.

Bellevue is the kind of place where the seriously overweight has-been group "Heart" started their come-back tour in a "Fred Meyer" (a JC Penney's clone).

Here's some facts about Bellevue.
Bellevue, and the entire Eastside of Seattle, (Bellevue, Kirkland, Mercer Island, Redmond,) has more millionaires per capita than anywhere else in the United States. The mall you're referencing, Bellevue Square, has a Tiffany's and multiple other higher-end stores.
Your insistence that Bellevue is filled with "ugly white overweight people" is laughable when one stops to consider that the typical Bellevue hausfrau has more than enough money for beauty treatments at Gene Juarez ($50 and up for a haircut, check it out at www.genejuarez.com,) a personal trainer, plastic surgery, and every other appearance of the very affluent. Overweight people in Bellevue are not the norm. SUV's and Mercedes are the norm, diamonds the size of robin's eggs are, as is the fact that the average home price in Bellevue is well over $500,000.

I sense a trend here. You seem to have an issue with the overweight.

The "has-been" group Heart is from the area. Most of those in their 40's and up remember them, and remember them fondly. Evidently, if they were as over as you consider them to be, they wouldn't still be finding venues to play in and get paid for it, even if it's the lowly neighborhood Fred Meyer. (By the way, your non-nativeness is showing again. Fred Meyer is NOT a "JC Penney clone". Fred Meyer was a locally-owned grocery and department store till Kroger bought them a couple of years back. They have more in common with Target than they ever would with Penney's.)

Ann Wilson of Heart gained a significant amount of weight and had weight reduction surgery as a result. Her sister, Nancy, is married to Cameron Crowe. She is as svelte as she was when they were making #1 hits 20 years ago.

On-topic, Jennifer Dunn is retiring because 1) she's getting married, 2) I'm sure that her loyalty to Bunnypants is going to score her some very lucrative private gigs, and 3) she is smelling blood in the water. In the meantime, the Dems had better come up with a much more qualified and credible candidate than Heidi Behrens-Benedict to get the soccer moms of Bellevue to show up at the polls and vote "D".

10. It's my district

Washington's eighth congressional district takes up most of the eastern and southern Seattle suburbs including parts of the cities of Bellevue, Mercer Island, Issaquah, Renton, Kent, Auburn, and Enumclaw. It also extends down into Mount Rainier National Park.

Politically, it leans toward the Democrats. The district went for Clinton in 1992 and 1996, and for Gore in 2000. The only reason Dunn got elected is because she's rich, well connected, and pretends to be a moderate on most issues (e.g. pro-choice). But she's really a closet conservative and even named her son after her hero Ronald Reagan.

We have an EXCELLENT chance of winning this seat in the fall, especially if our presidential nominee does well in the state. I'm sure that the current Democratic front-runner, Alex Alben, will be an outstanding representative. He's a brilliant Stanford-educated lawyer and should do very well in Congress.

...the other day as she stood behind Bush when he was taking some questions. I wondered then how she could be associated with the slime of the BFEE and the corruption of the WH. Her face showed a flicker of discomfort.
