1. probably not
LBJ got civil rights measures thru congress that JFK was unable to or didn't care enuff about.

There was a play written in 64 or 65 about LBJ organizing the assasination.

There was initially some questioning/talk because LBJ 'settled' for being JFK's veep.

2. No. Not reality.
He was there, however, and saw what happened. Years later, he spoke about what he had figured out concerning the CIA etc. He was a smart man, and knew that he was in no position to offend the powerful forces that had been behind the Dallas killing. Remember, even in the movie JFK, Stone does not say LBJ actually played a role in the plot to kill JFK; rather, that he bowed to the military on Vietnam immediately afterward. (The scene in the movie actually happened, though the emphasis may have been slightly different.) People who believe that this was a coup are wrong: Kennedy's election was the coup; his death merely "re-alinement" of the military industrial complexes' power.

reported to the Justice Dept that Malcolm "Mac" Wallace did it for LBJ along with a string of other fishy murders.

9. I don't think he masterminded it.
I don't even think he helped plan it. But I do think he knew where, when, and how it would take place and who was behind it. Therefore, I believe he was involved because I believe he had enough knowledge to put a stop to it if he'd chosen to.
