The most arrogant, inept, ideological foreign policy in our history
Edited on Tue Feb-03-04 11:44 PM by RainDog
I am listening to John Kerry on C-Span.

I am glad to hear him telling the truth about Bush. He got huge applause (of course) when he said we will have an administration which does not have John Ashcroft as Attorney General. LOL

...and the truth is, as far as I have been able to tell across the country, John Ashcroft is truly one of the most hated administration officials I can recall.

Admittedly he's a lightening rod to keep the heat off Bush and Cheney and Rummy and Wolfowitz as they conduct their lying corporate-crony wars fought at the expense of everyone but their children.

Yet Ashcroft is emblematic of Bush's base...he cannot win without the fundies, and sane Republicans have held their noses and aligned with them, as is the way sometimes in political coalitions.

but with Bush's regime, everyone has seen the damage to this nation that this extremist faction has caused.

Bush could not "win" without them, but he will lose because of them.

Bush is going to lose.

He will, yet again, lose the presidency. This time, if he resorts to his dirty tricks in another power grab, he will find the courageous citizens of America will not let this happen again.

We've already seen the levels to which the Bush thugs will stoop. They will lose, and they will not get away with another coup.

5. I'd like to see what Kerry REALLY does once he's in the WH....
will he repeal the Patriot Act?
Apologize to other world nations for the crap that shrub dumped?
Will he pull our troops out of Afghanistan, Iraq and every other
hellhole that shrub decided to invade?
Will he balance the budget again?
Will he create jobs?

....get the picture? One thing is candidate Kerry and another is
president Kerry....

6. yes, we will see
and will can have an impact on these things by volunteering at the local level and educating others about these abuses.

fwiw, when Clinton won, it took two years to overcome the abuses of the Reagan/Bush economic policies.

during both of their presidencies, the rate of income increase, in percentages, vastly favored the richest of the rich.

after two years of a democratic (even a fiscally conservative one) president, that percentage had again become more equitable.

I want the dem nominee to declare a new vision for America's future...an energy independent America, which Kerry did mention.

A new war of independence...independence from foreign policy decided by oil companies.

This will allow us to stop the "great game" in Eurasia and will create a sustainable future. At the same time, it will create the reason for a new manufacturing base which is geared toward smaller scale local economies, rather than conglomerates.

This is the future, whether big oil and big corps like it or not..this is the only future which is sustainable.

7. Yeah, "got the picture," all right...
Until Kerry apologizes to the French FOR WHAT BUSH DID, well, hell---he's not worthy of the White House. Uh, right. ...What bullshit. What idiocy. Come ON, man! Get real.

"Will he create jobs?" What does that kind of simple-minded sentence even MEAN, for God's sake?

"One thing is candidate Kerry and another is President Kerry..."
---Uh, yeah? That goes for every candidate who ever ran for any office in any election EVER. So again, what is your point?

8. If
You push for your policies you might have them implemented.

Don't think you would have a better chance with a second term president.

I say this for no matter who is there. Who would you prefer?
