I'll run back to the TV and try to get her name.

One edit: Washington Post writer MAY have been wrong - a writer from some news source nonetheless. See my other post.....

10. RNC screwed up BIG TIME making an issue out of this.
They essentially said today "Bush got an honorable ddischarge and did his duty, so stop calling him a deserter" VERY STUPID. Sure, there's no proof positive that he was AWOL, but there are no records of his whereablouts for 7 months, either, and it only serves to draw attention to the FACT that he refused to take his physical (drug test!) and had his flight privileges revoked. All the RNC has done is smear the poop even more all over Dumbya's shiny armor, making him look even worse. Lovin' it!

If they'd had a brain they would have stayed mum the way they did forr the last 3 years.

Of course this plays right in with the theories of Ruppert and others who believe that "the powers that be" will cut Dumbya loose and let him twist in the wind, letting their chosen dem candidate (Kerry) take over...

17. that's what someone said...
...someone who knows the ins and outs of the elites. She said that Kerry is being allowed to take the torch for the elites because Bush has schlupped things up so badly. Another Bonesman gets the reins. And the press will be allowed to destroy Bush.

20. well the ownership caps have been lifted
so the broadcast media already got their part of the deal from Rove. Maybe they feel a little freer now that they got their payoff.

21. Yes....it's great....
...to hear them talking about it, but the conversation itself is so frustrating. Like comparing Kerry's heroics in Viet Nam to Bush's heroics during 9/11! What heroics???????? Then someone said that even if Bush went AWOL, will it influence the voters. Influence the voters???? Geez...he should have his Honorable Discharge revoked and then be impeached!

22. I never understood....
why people like Tweety keep saying that Bush acted heroically after 911....WHAT EXACTLY DID BUSH DO THAT ANY OTHER PRESIDENT WOULD NOT HAVE DONE? Bush went to ground zero said a couple of things, left and then read his script in front of congress that went off well. What else did he do after 911 besides fly around the country for his safety? Did he take a bullet for someone? Did he go into the towers and try to save someone? What did he do that was so heroic?

23. Agree 100%
He actually could have shown up sooner. He'll never be any kind of hereo in my book. He was doing his job and almost any President would have been doing what this group did at the time. THey had a blank check for GOd's sake from the rest of the world after that.

24. i think i understand

It makes perfect sense once you accept that 'rich men behind the scenes' are pulling practically everyone's strings. Journalists, talking heads, etc are instructed what to say, politicians are instructed what policies to follow, by persons who have the power to do so, in order to keep and extend that power.

"The individual is handicapped by coming face to face with a conspiracy so monstrous be cannot believe it exists."
- J E Hoover

25. He was shamed into showing up at all.
Bush* would never of even bothered to go to New York except that President Clinton was there and so was Senator Clintor and Senator Schumar(sp). He was being exposed for what he is and Rove couldn't have that so four days after the fact he shows up and stands on a pile of rubble and puts on an arrogant act. Real Hero all right.

26. look at deeds not words
Remember how Bush stood there and pledged his support for New York's police and firefighters? Then a few weeks later, they reneged on the money they promised.
