I will not be surprised, speaking as unbiasedly as I possibly can, to see an upheaval come November. Bush isn't just a Republican, but thanks to his stumping during the off-year elections, he is THE Republican. They may like him personally (and god only knows why) but increasingly, Americans do not like his ideals, and guess who gets smacked for that? The hidden faces of Congress.
Unfortunately, thanks to the fact that incumbents rarely lose, it will take more than the current disapproval to make this happen. The way things work these days, it would really, REALLY take a huge public dissatisfaction in order to make major changes in the government.
