Bush and Blair nominated for Nobel Peace Prize
Edited on Wed Feb-04-04 07:23 PM by DFLer4edu
Two of the architects of the Iraq war, United States President George W Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair, are among nominees for the 2004 Nobel Peace Prize.

Other nominees are varied and include: Pope John Paul II; the European Union to mark its expansion to include former East bloc states; the Salvation Army; former Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler; former Czech president Vaclav Havel; former Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic; and Chinese dissidents.

P.S. Except for it isn't April 1st and sadly I'm not joking. :(

1. Oh, I get it ... maybe you can be nominated for wrecking any chance
of peace the world was ever hoping for. OK, maybe I just wasn't clear on the rules.

3. Huh
OK, so their names were placed in nomination by a single member of the Norwegian Parliament. Not necessarily overwhelming acclamation.
Never the less I'm about to HURL!!

4. I understand Bush being nominated
because he was nominated by a member of the Norwegian Parliament, but who the hell nominated Hitler? I guess shooting himself was a move in the name of peace, but other than that, I fail to get it. Here is who can nominate a canidate.

2. Speechless.
Dumbfounded. Shocked. Appalled. Horrified. Disgusted. Disoriented.

Did it actually SAY "George W Bush"? Maybe they were talking about bushes... You know, like plant life?

Seriously. This HAS to be a possibility or I'm gonna need some help expanding my list of adjectives in the first sentence...

13. Thanks, but...
...please tell me this isn't one of the signs of the apocolypse.

I just bought a plane ticket to Australia, and I'd really like the chance to use it...

10. NJothing but PR looks good in print
Both were nominated in 2002 by a right wing Noreigian........they missed the deadline for 2003....again a right wing Norweigian put their names up 2004. No matter they haven't a chance in hell it's the ole smoke and mirrors game again. Maybe 2005 the third time will be the charm. It's the laughing stock of the world that these two warmongers that lied their way into an unnecessary war would even be considered for the "peace prize".
.
Gagggggg!
