That's why Janet Jackson is catching so much ire of the media. Frankly, I find Bart Simpson more offensive and harmful to the character of our children. And certainly the most of the stupid sitcoms and reality shows have more sex and filth than that super bowl performance. The only explanation for this is that people will find it easier to to be outraged by Janet the pop-star than Bush the poop-star!

The reason there is a explosion going off about this in the media is because it did not fit their script. They will rush to the defense of a program that displays breasts or other parts if it is within their control. But this was Janet Jackson (assuming you do not believe it was an accident) asserting her will over that of the Corporate interests. This would not be getting any airtime if the Corporate interests did not wish it to. They are the final arbiters of what we see. Janet took some of their control away and now they are going to bake her.
