I called but my Senators aren't answering their phones because of Ricin...(the mischief they do when we can't complain).
According to the Constitution, the Congress has power of oversight not the Executive branch. This separation of powers is for a good reason. Our Executive Branch will be investigating itself. This is a conflict of interest. Bush has no business appointing a panel just to cover the investigation until after the election. We the tax payers paying for the delays and lies. The President failed to respond to previous investigations by other panels, refused to answer citizen questions, provide documents and testimony, refused court orders, etc. They (Rice, Rumsfled, Cheney, etc.) disobeyed the law...that's the bottom line and reason for impeachment or being fired, etc.
I disagree with Senator Johnson regarding the 9/11 panel results being the most through in a decade. Well..Pearl Harbor was over 60 years ago and this investigation can't even compare to that other historical attack on our shores. The families of 9/11 have demanded answers to questions not even addressed by previous panels. The 9/11 investigations have been political and full of cover ups...and misrepresentations. The families of 9/11 told us and them how/who they wanted to ask questions, investigate, etc. They should do this. When is this administration going to obey the Constitutional duties as written? Take the President to court for disobeying his Constitutional duties.
Remember..."No one is above the law; even the President."?
