Anyone else not able to vote online in Michigan?

Had problems, couldn't login.

Called Election Services Corp (company running website)&
Democratic Party HQ in Lansing
they were no help -
internet voting is a scam!
anyone else have these problems?
will have to go to polls tomorrow.

1. Worked just fine for me this AM

after I discovered my login ID was not my name but one assigned to me on the ballot.

3. I voted by mail, because I was unsure how the online thing worked

I mailed the ballot Monday, so it should be received and counted by now.

6. Internet voting is a scam. Even the Pentagon realizes this.

Citing security concerns, the Pentagon (news - web sites) has canceled Internet voting that would have involved as many as 100,000 military and overseas citizens from seven states in November, a Defense Department official said Thursday.

The announcement comes two weeks after outside security experts urged the program's cancellation in a scathing report. They said hackers or terrorists could penetrate the system and change votes or gather information about users. At the time, the Pentagon said it felt confident enough to proceed.

But Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz has since decided to scrap the system because Pentagon officials were not certain they could "assure the legitimacy of votes that would be cast," said a Pentagon official who spoke on condition of anonymity.

How about that? "PNAC Paul" Wolfowitz concerned about the legitimacy of votes. Imagine. </sarcasm>

8. Make sure you have cookies turned 'on'.

You may also have to turn off you firewall...if you're using one. In addition you may have isseus if your Internet Explorer Browser security settings are set to prevent Java or Activex scripts from running.....you may have to set security settings to 'low' while you vote.

If you change any settings to vote...just remember to change them back when you're done!
