Pentagon releases names of Iraq deaths from -last year-
Here's today's daily AP Iraq summary. Note the dates of the fatalities reported!

As of Friday, Feb. 6, 529 U.S. service members have died since the beginning of military operations in Iraq, according to the Department of Defense. Of those, 369 died as a result of hostile action and 160 died of non-hostile causes, the department said. ... The latest identifications reported by Pentagon:

—Army Sgt. Linda C. Jimenez, 39, Brooklyn, N.Y.; died Nov. 8, 2003, in Washington of injuries sustained during a fall in Baghdad; assigned to the 2nd Squadron Combat Support Aviation (Maintenance), 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment; Fort Polk, La.

—Army Spc. Tamarra J. Ramos, 24, Quakertown, Pa.; died in Washington Oct. 1, 2003, of non-combat related injuries sustained while serving in Iraq; assigned to the 3rd Armor Medical Company, Medical Troop Regimental Support Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment; Fort Carson, Colo.

—Air Force Master Sgt. David A. Scott, 51, Union, Ohio; died July 20, 2003, of non-hostile causes in Doha, Qatar; assigned to the 445th Communications Flight, Wright Patterson Air Force Base; Ohio.

—Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class David Sisung, 21, Phoenix; died June 6, 2003, of non-combat related injuries in the Persian Gulf; assigned to the USS Nimitz, San Diego, Calif.

1. God bless them all, but . . .
when is someone going to print a list of Iraqi civilians killed since the U.S. invasion? . . . or, for that matter, during the blockade that preceded it? . . .
