If Fresno wanted to prove that FreeRepublic was a hate group and threatening minorities, what could they say? Sure, there's hateful individuals making some pretty questionable posts (and not necessarily from "DU disruptors" as some of the FR posters assume) but proving that the whole site's motivation was hate and minority-threatening is another matter.

2. And, naturally, it doesn't take much scrolling to find hate speech

On the first page you can find their contempt of Hillary Clinton.

And I am sure there are a plethora of rascist comments on the following pages.


I think they should have responded to the charge of "hate group" with:

"We at Free Republic are not a hate group. We may hate liberals, minorities, women, non-Christians, and foreigners...
But we do not hate Bush! In fact, we love Bush more than we love the USA!"
