Thought I'd share my letter I sent to Halliburton today....and their response. Gotta hand it to them, they kept it civil.....and they do feed the troops-> all 245% of them.

Hello Ms. Hall-
Just want to let you know that after we elect a Democratic President/Congress in November, we will be conducting real investigations aimed at exposing corrupt business practices of companies, such as Halliburton; companies, who are getting obscene, no-bid contracts designed to fleece the US taxpayer. Corporate government welfare and institutional overcharging appear to be a core operating principle of your company. From food services to importing gas for Iraq, Halliburton can't seem to help themselves from sticking it to the US government. But really, what should we have expected from a company who employed Dick Cheney as CEO? Dick is the ultimate white collar criminal who makes US foreign policy to benefit his corporate friends and, by extension, his own pockets.
So enjoy the trough feeding while it lasts...remember to chew the tax dollars before you swallow.
Have a nice day!

Thank you for your input regarding the Halliburton advertising. We recognize there are some strong opinions about the Iraq war, and there are many misconceptions about Halliburton's work in that country. We are there to serve the troops. Halliburton employees and subcontractors are feeding the troops, building shelters, and providing infrastructure such as Internet connections so the soldiers will feel a little closer to home. This is similar to the work we have done for both Democratic and Republican administrations since World War II when we built war ships for the Roosevelt administration.
Halliburton employees are experienced and have the right skill sets to handle a wartime emergency. Not many companies can provide support to the troops that plans breakfast, lunch and dinner for the soldiers while at the same time delivers engineering support to rebuild Iraqi oil fields. That's why we were awarded these contracts - both under competitive bid processes.
Many false statements have been made about our integrity and the quality of our work, and they have increased during the political campaign. It is our obligation to employees, shareholders, vendors and to the troops to defend the company.
Thank you for your attention to the advertising. We hope you will consider all of the facts before drawing a conclusion about the company.
