I just received an email about a Democrat running for senate. Here are snips of the email:
Mike Miles WILL BE the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate because he is
a leader. While one-by-one the "big names" have dropped out, this
ordinary man with extraordinary experiences has been rallying people
around the state. He has made true believers of 252 audiences in 252
speeches across the state. He has beaten the odds because of his
message of hope, his impressive resume, and his firm support of
democratic principles.

At a time when our country needs candidates who will stand up to this
administration and fight for the public good over special interests,
Mike has stepped up to the plate. As a former diplomat and member of
the State Department, he will work hard to repair the damage done to our
foreign policy and get the United Nations to help in the reconstruction
of Iraq. Mike was one of the few leaders in Colorado who opposed the
invasion of Iraq, anticipating the problems this administration has
created.

the national security debate. As a person trained in nuclear,
biological, and chemical warfare, he will propose sound ways to
strengthen domestic security. As a former teacher and principal, Mike

support public education. As an original board member of the Pikes Peak
Human Relations Coalition, an organization he helped found, Mike will
work hard to repeal the portions of the Patriot Act that violate our
civil liberties and are unconstitutional.
