They are one of few voices who speak truth to power.

If you are not plugged in to KPFA and Pacifica Radio, time's-a-wasting. The Morning Show, Democracy Now, Guns n Butter, Flashpoints - and the evening news provide more value in one day than any local Clear Channel station will provide in their lifetime. And that is a mere sampling...

In the face of the regretable demise of www.ieamericaradio.com, we must protect those that remain.

Today is the day of the annual David Ganz 16-hour Greatful Dead Marathon. Listen in, twirl, smile, and know we all have much work to do. And of greatest importance, PLEDGE!

1. Oh the good old days go on forever!

Once upon a time---the Dead would broadcast a show live over the NPR satelite distrubution system and stations would roll with it.
Out here in KVNF land, Western Colorado, we went DEAD FOR A DAY when a show from Toronto was fed back in the early 80s. Featured The Dead, The Band, Wavy and Kesey as MC's, and a final with all. Lasted all day. Now, if I can only find the tapes----!
