How many DUers are going to be delegates to conventions?
Edited on Sat Feb-07-04 04:55 PM by Generic Other
Me! Me! My husband and I were both elected by our precinct caucus in Tacoma, Washington. I hope we will see other DU representatives at the national convention!

Of course, we still have a county and state convention to get through!

I gave a fiery speech with a huge list of stuff I was mad about. Thanks to DU, I had the facts. Everyone voted for me for being such a rabblerouser.

1000 people came to our local caucuses about 100 times more than turned out for the last one. There was energy, excitement and anger.
The young people turned out for Dean which was impressive to the older folk who tended to support Kerry. All agreed any one of the candidates would make a great president. None of the infighting that has typified the last few months of campaigning.

I won by swearing I'd vote for a chihuahua over Bush. Officially, I am now a Kerry delegate, but more importantly, I consider myself a DU representative!

How about the rest of you? Anyone going to the next convention?

on edit: Hope this isn't in the wrong forum. Not meant to be anything but a statement of excitement about being elected to something--a first for me!

2. Lots of people?
I was so amazed. The last time I attended my caucus only five people attended in my precinct. We had 100 this time. Some even said they were Republicans voting Dem for the first time!

The anger is there. Bush better get ready for the backwash. One lying, idiotic cowboy is heading home to Texas comne November. Yeeehaw!

3. Me!
I'm from the 43rd Leg. District in Seattle. :hi:

I don't know how far I'll go, but I'm at least on tap to go to the district and county in May.
