CNN clearly jumped on the "Bush Done Good" bandwagon early. Their news clips and reporters -- Dana Bash and Jack Cafferty in particular -- talk about the MTP interview as a positive event. Bush striking back. Being strong. Explaining his motives.

Complete denial. In fact, Cafferty was reading the morning e-mail, most of which was highly critical of Smirk. Conidad O'Brian asked Jack how the e-mail was running this morning, what percentage for and against (Jack always has this info on every other subject). Jack stammered and said "I, uh, I don't know, I haven't checked." Then he looked into the camera out of the corner of his eye and smirked. IOW, I have checked, Bush is getting trounced, but let's not talk about that right now.

OTOH, I hear IMUS is ripping Chimpy a new one this morning. Even Charles Krautheimer's op-ed today says Bush is toast on this issue when he goes up against Kerry.

Overall, it appears this interview was a train wreck for Bush. Finding positive things to say about the appearance is not easy. Fortunately there is Cable News to make us feel good with the Liar In Chief.
