Niger was a nudge, not a noose

Bush was doing something that made someone unhappy. All the Niger evidence was from before the war. It was brought out after the war because Bush messed something up for someone. His administration's disorganization and bumbling after the criticism shows how unexpected it was. He expected to get a free pass on it at the time, obviously--and why not? So now that he's been nudged, will he fix the problem? If not, he may get taken down. I wonder what the problem was.

It claims that the world financial powerbrokers have decided to remove Bush from office and that it's only a matter of time. The real question, according to this site, is not whether Bush is going to reach his downfall, but rather when--ie before or after the election.

I don't believe in conspiracy theories, but maybe the article on that site called "Beyond Bush" might help you.

Again I don't trust the source and think it to be based on conspiracy theories, but you might able to find something worthwhile, although I doubt it.

2. Well, it's Occam's razor at this point

Why now, unless Bush did something to warrant the criticism? All the evidence existed before. It took them a few months to get their criticsms good and ready? Why do you think this is the case? Do you have an explanation for why the criticism is so limited, when other inaccuracies/exaggerations exist in the SOTU, and other speeches besides?

I'm open to a non-conspiracy theory, but the simplest explanation is that it was a nudge. The people who think this is the end are just so starved for criticism they take a nudge for a noose--they aren't hanging him yet, as the past weeks have shown.

3. Maybe because of the rising deaths in Iraq of US Soldiers?

Maybe some key individual in the Bush administration couldn't deal with it anymore. Maybe someone there was tired of what Bush was doing or had concerns. And something pushed him over the edge.

Or maybe because 1-2 US Soldiers are dying per day the media is more concerned.

You also have the post-9/11 boom that Bush had. The media and people felt that in the aftermath of 9/11 that the country "needed to put internal criticism aside". And maybe that is why this only now is becoming news.
