Bush is trying to bait the Democrats with filibusters

not that they shouldn't continue. But as you can see, the freepers are trying to scream bigot at every opportunity. First they claimed the Dems filibustered Estrada because they hate Hispanics, then Owen because they hate women, and now Pryor because they hate Catholics. Except the Dems didn't even know he was Catholic until Hatch asked him his religious affiliation. Basically, being a white male they needed to dig up something on him so they could call the Dems bigoted against something. And the likely next target, Carolyn Kuhl, is a black woman.

Remember Pickering? Being a male WASP, it'd be tough to blame the Dems for anything for filibustering him, so that might be why his nomination isn't being pursued. Bush is trying to dig up minority wingnuts so the GOP can scream bigot at the Dems. I expect an ultra-right wing Jew might be next. If the Dems make it clear they're going after a male WASP, he'll be dropped like a hot potato.

Luckily it's not working. Only the freepers are dumb enough to think this is the reason for the filibusters. But expect more bait and more claims.
