Armor Cracks: From a Republican site
Bush the Invincible is starting to look like Bush the beatable! The sentiment expressed by this republican is similar with what I encounter in my travels daily.

"How widespread is the sentiment against Bush in the GOP? The media seems to think he has us all locked up.

I only have a couple of data points so I don't know how widespread the republican anti-bush sentiment is. I have been a lifelong (moderate) Republican and voted for George Bush in the last election. Two of my friends and myself both feel the same way about Bush today -- Cheated. Here's why.

1. War on Terrorism
The safety of my family and fellow Americans here and abroad is my biggest concern. Al-queda clearly should be the number one priority. However, the far-right of our party has elected to pursue their own agenda (for oil?) and tried to convince us that Iraq was as big a treat as Al-queda. They even tried to spin that Osama was in bed with Saddam -while nothing could be further from the truth. The ball is being dropped on the war on terrorism while they pursue the agenda of Cheney, Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz et al. And don't get me started on homeland security. It is a joke. We need a leader that put a plan in action that will protect us against further threats here at home.

2. Fiscal Responsibility
The biggest tax cuts in history leading to the big deficits. The economy needs as much attention as the war on terrorism with good conservative fiscal solutions. Just like the war on terrorism, Bush seems to be pursuing some far-right agenda and not solving the real problem. Business cycles tend to correct themselves with a little time. Even if there is a stimulus effect due to the Tax cuts, it will be way after the recovery is in high gear. I am not worried about the economy taking off again. I am worried about the deficits. How ironic that we have a Republican to thank for large deficits! What we need now are Jobs not Tax cuts to the wealthiest individuals. How about tax cuts to corporations and incentives to hire now instead of later? What about making it easier for laid off executives to go out on their own as consultants or start their own companies? I'll admit that the tax cut affected me nicely but I felt I did not need it and it was irresponsible in its timing.

3. Foreign Relations
The administration has gotten itself painted into quite a corner with Iraq. Only there is no one to turn to for help now that Rumsfeld and party have pissed off every other nation. Americans are now universally viewed badly around the world. This sentiment will spillover to the economy as it gets harder to export our goods and services when foreign customers would rather not buy from the dirty, crass, arrogant Americans.

4. I don't trust Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz and Cheney.
It is no secret this bunch of hawks have had "greater plans" for the middle east from before the days of the Bush admin. The recent release of Energy Task Force documents relating to Iraq helps fuel my argument that they have been eyeing Iraq's oilfields all along and used the "war on terrorism" as the opportunity to jump on it. Their doctrine of unilateral preemption is another handy excuse to go into to other Arab nations and threatens to create an army of extremist Muslims 100 times greater than Al-queda is today. This will continue to put my family and nation under threat of more 9-11s for years and years to come. I just don't trust the covert agenda this group has. These three men are the reason I will definitely throw out this administration even if it means I have to vote Democrat.

5. Compassionate Conservatism- MIA
Bush got me hook line and sinker with this phrase from the election. As a moderate republican that is fiscally conservative and more middle of the rode on social issues, Compassionate conservatism spoke to me. The only problem is that it was a lie! This administration has been hijacked by the far right. This is not what I was sold so now it is time to take it back and get a refund.

I know this was lengthy but sums up the increasing anger I share towards this administration. "

WOW! I hope this guy is typical of the nationwide Bush moderate voter! He sounds like the moderates in my company who voted for *.
