Joe Biden
Excellent speech at the Brookings, what a great speaker, what a very intelligent man!
It will be a huge disappointment if he doesn't run for President.
I am still holding out hope for a Biden/Clark run, or a Gore run, but so far, none of the nine have impressed me.
Biden had me glued to C-Span tonight, just like Clinton always did.

1. He looked presidential. He had some of his auduience spellbound.
He's come a long way from the Clarence Thomas/Anita Hill debacle.

2. Yes he did look rather Presidential.....
It was a breath of fresh air.....

I'd like to save the speech from the C-Span site. I have real Player and a CD burner.....I just don't know how to use it from the computer stream. I can only copy CD's. Oh well......

4. I can visualize Joe Biden as President.
As hard as I try, I can't with the current field. Having said that, I don't know enough detail about him to say if he'd be good in the job. I've heard mixed reports, but he sure as heck looked and sounded the part today, unlike a certain usurper I could name...

5. 2 Biden things that bug me
When I've heard him, and it hasn't been often so maybe I'm wrong on this, he seems very pleased with himself - not much unlike Lieberman - regarding his support of Bush's War with Iraq. Second, the RAVE act was as far as I can tell a pretty awful piece of legislation from a civil liberties point of view. Unless he's got some outstanding positions on other issues that set him apart from teh current crowd I can't see myself supporting him at all - except maybe if he gets the nomination.

Isn't he a plagiarist too? I can't imagine that would work out well during the campaign.
