I can not vote in CNN polls lately, anyone else have this problem
Edited on Fri Feb-13-04 07:52 PM by Rebellious Republica
Every time I click on one of the DU posted VOTE links to CNN, The CNN page comes up fine. Then when I make my selection and click on the vote button, this is what comes up.....

The page cannot be found
The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

Please try the following:

If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Open the polls.cnn.com home page, and then look for links to the information you want.
Click the Back button to try another link.
Click Search to look for information on the Internet.

HTTP 404 - File not found
Internet Explorer

Now if I click on the review results button, that page comes up just fine. I have sent some emails in protest to various items at various times, is it possible that they have my computer tagged thru cookies or something, and will not let me vote any longer. This has been happening for some time. Anyone else experiencing this problem, is there away of getting around it? Any of you DU computer guru's got any advice.

On edit: This only happens at CNN, as I have been able to vote in polls at other sites.

1. Same thing here
Do you have Zone Alarm installed by chance? I think it's a cookie issue.

2. I haven't had any problem and I have ZA (which doesn't have anything to
do with cookies, AFAIK)...

But I use Netscape 99% of the time (IE only when I wanna vote at MSNBC)
It might have something to do with the 'security' settings (assuming you use windoze)...check it in control panel/internet options...

3. Yuck...
Why are you using Nutscrape?

Mozilla is the same browsing engine, only more up to date and without all the AOL bloatwares shit.
