Private Pilot's License for Dubya?
If Dubya was a hot-shot F-102 pilot did he ever convert his military experience to a private pilot's license?

Seems to me that there was an account of him flying (in a manner of speaking) a Cessna 172 in one of the biographies after his TANG service. Did he fly it without a private pilots license?

Does he possess one now?

I know there are a lot of former (and even present)pilots on this board and I also know that flying gets in your blood. (At my Dad's memorial service, his shipmates said he had JP4 for blood...actually it was Seagrams 7)..but the point is once a fighter jock, always a fighter jock.

Any mentions of a private license in his records?

1. He has a commercial ticket with instrument & multi-engine ratings but no
medical certificate. I posted the FAA search link last night...

2. Search the www.landings.com database
...but didn't find any G. Bush results.

Who cares, all you have to tell people is that this guy would rather lick stamps and stuff envelopes than fly jets.

4. I keep wondering about those flyboy photos
Why so many photos of GWB in the National Guard? Especially since his service was shorter than most?

How can his WH staff and supporters keep saying he didn't get special treatment by the Guard when it appears he was their "flyboy" poster child?

Is it normal to have that many posed photos of a lowly LT, or to have daddy pin him when he earns his bars?

Just wondering about the story that he was just a "regular guy" who was treated like all of the other regular guys.

8. Would all the regular guys been able to say
after only 4 years of a 6 year contract, I'm not going to fly anymore ? I think this is the angle that should be addressed. After $1 million for training he was able to say I want to go to Ala. and campaign for my daddy's friend. Sorry they don't have any place there for me to fly but that's tough.

Am I the only one who thinks that Ala. was chosen for him to go and dry out only because they didn't have a suitable flying program for him ?

AS I said, the money angle and also the fact that he leap frogged over 500 guys to get in and than didn't finish his promised contract will resonate better with the public, than the question of if he missed any of his drills.

10. I agree with you.
The focus should really be on ALL of the privileges Bush Jr. has enjoyed.

That would resonate with the American voters because he has (with Rove's pygmalion help) cast himself as a regular Joe.

Clearly, he's never been a regular Joe. He's been a spoiled rich frat boy who's had his butt covered by papa for years and years. That's not a luxury most people can identify with.
