be vew-w-w-y quiet...i'm hunting hussein

after 9-11, and after we invaded and bombed the fuck out of afghanistan for some reason, it was leaked to the press that we were looking for saddam hussein in iraq, because the hunt for osama had petered out. the boys at the top let it be known that hussein's days were numbered. this was way before operation slaughter thousands.
certain senators and prominent folks remarked that it was foolish and a waste of resources looking for saddam.

now, we are 'on the hunt' for saddam, and in a VERY public way. it's story numero uno right now. can't find the dreaded weaponsofmassdestruction so we'll find the dreaded dictator. we sure enough kilt his two evil sons, i guess, and now we got his daughters and 9 grandkids, and big daddy is next. the former governor of texas says, 'we're on the hunt'.

however this turns out, it's damned interesting to watch. if they never find him, they'll look stupid. it's even rumored they let him escape, numerous times, and that there is no real plan to get him. afterall, he works for bushco. but, wouldn't it be o so glorious if they captured him? dead: show his shattered evil corpse on hallmark cards, and christmas ornaments. alive: on trial for war crimes, defeated but alive and captured like a dog. either one of these scenarios would be great in a republican ad.
