DU's adopted soldiers (first group) leave Iraq this Saturday
Edited on Thu Feb-19-04 12:41 AM by SoCalDem
Mary & Jim are counting down the hours..She said they leave for Germany at 3PM (or so) Calif time on Saturday..

Please... everyone, keep your fingers crossed .. They will head back to Germany, and will get a month at home in the states..

Jimmy was told that they would probably go to Afghanistan after their leave, and some more training in Germany..

His Mom said that the whole group was going, so if you have recently sent a care package, it might come back to you :(..

The second group that Solly Mack gave us names for ..I don't know what their rotation status... If any of you sent to them, please pm her for more info.. (I think her hubby is back there now >:(..)

1. Safe home ...
Prayers and candles. Hope they come home safe, with mind and body sound and whole.

5. SoCal
I'm happy to hear about the soldiers.

Did you ever get any reports from your friend in Iraq about the packages we sent there?

I heard about a week ago (maybe more) and he said they were kind of holed up at HQ because of the car bombs and rpgs.. I will e-mail him today and see if they were able to deliver..
