3. Talk about a vicious bunch

I read the responses to what the guy wrote, and while I disagree with about 99% of what he said, it wasn't my forum so that was no surprise. However, he at least wrote his concerns out in an intelligent manner and did deserve some kind of reasoned reply.

After reading some of the "reasoned replies," it makes me truly appreciate how well-behaved the folks in DU are.

It is truly disheartening to know that these idiots take their political advice from a man who cares about ratings first, the truth and the American people probably come in a distant tie for last on his priorities list. 1. Under bush's management the debt has surpassed $7 tillion. how dare they call liberals tax and spend? there is no truth to this. they are supporting spend, spend republicans.

2. many countries said there was not enough evidence on the wmd in Iraq. Inspectors and Blix said the same thing. Millions of people protested against the war saying it wasn't justified. Bush invaded Iraq anyway. He started a needless war that is killing Americans and Iraqis everyday.

3. homeland security is taking away our freedoms, not protecting them.

4. turning the country into a dictatorship to protect freedoms does not make any sense.
