If the election official scoff in your face, time to replace.

If they are not elected, they are apppointed. Find out who does the appointing, and make it very clear what will happen in the next round of elections if officials who refuse to honor the security of your vote are not replaced. Their loyalty should be to you- not the vendors.

2. I grew up in Riverside

Thankfully, I don't live there any longer. However, Riverside is basically a more rural version of Orange County. Actually OC is probably less conservative than Riverside at this point. I think people would have better luck with lawsuits than trying to get some 'puke election official through an election.

On edit: I don't think she's an 'elected official' in any case.
