Talking about "mystery illness" afflicting some soldiers. 2 have died and about a dozen are sick..... Maybe they asked this already, I caught it late...Did these soldiers receive some sort of innoculation before going into Iraq? Could that be the cause?

This sounds like a garden variety hemorrhagic fever, sort of like the hantaaviruses found in various places all over the world.

More than likely a viral infection. Bacterial pneumonias don't have the multi-organ involvement seen in these cases; besides, they'd have done bacterial cultures. Don't think it's a toxin either.
