An extra bonus for filling the 'top secret' bat, it appears.

From the fact that Texas is not in play for Democrats one infers the Dean campaign either wants to rally more supporters, solidify their support, and/or keep their name in the news. Is this good or bad campaign strategy?

the fact that Dean is running the ad in Texas while Bush is on vacation there will almost guarantee national and local media attention which will more than pay for the ad.

Nothing would be better than to embarrass the shrub who's on vacation while the rest of the country is being put out of work. I think this is BRILLIANT!!!! And I'm not even a Dean fan!

Surprising, innovative, and it's already gotten press. It'll get a lot more.

I LOVE this campaign! Again and again they're first outta the box, or doing creative things. And always, always seizing and capitalizing on every opportunity that presents itself.

Someone said the other day "He's running a GENERAL election, not just a primary," and I think that fits. Another way to look at it is that it's as if he's always pushing the envelope on the timeline. No one but no one would have expected this at this stage of the campaign just as no one expected his Iowa buy.

The unexpected, the aggressive, the craetive. That's the Dean campaign. It's just great. I totally love it.
