Article implicating PNAC and 9/11
There was an interesting article in the Carolina Morning News suggesting that Bush and the PNAC were involved with the 9/11 attacks:

I knew Bush was itching to go to war with Iraq, but I hope he didn't stoop this low.

2. Nice catch duck
Pretty remarkable that the newspapers are starting to let these voices filter through.

( I think this may belong on Editorials board)

It is also important to note that it comes from the deep south. Shrub better hold on to his cowboy hat.

Rose: Arrogance, or something darker?

By John David Rose
Carolina Morning News

If you want to know why 9/11 was allowed to happen you may not have to look any further than the Oval Office.

A little more than a month before the attack, in his Aug. 6 daily intelligence briefing, Bush was "told that morning of the al-Qaida terror network's interest in conducting a strike within the U.S., and that it might involve highjacked airplanes," reports the Wall Street Journal (7/24/03.)

Why didn't he order airlines to be alerted, inform the Federal Aviation Administration of the threat, put the military air commands on a high level of readiness and tell the FBI, CIA and INS to be super vigilant?

He brushed the warning aside.

6. NOT taking action, is an action. Ergo, no LIHOP, only MIHOP
At least some progress is being made. We've gotten to the point where LIHOP is being mentioned. Still, that confuses the issue and most Americans are already conditioned to understand that "maybe more could have been done." The public needs to know that 9/11 events couldn't have happened without active support from the U.S. government.

4. During Cheney's meetings with his CEO advisors to develop an
energy plan, they would certainly have discussed the stability of the ME and particularly Afghanistan and Iraq. They would certainly have discussed the possibility of an incident that would have allowed the US to intervene with military force. It is quite plausible that someone said that if an incident did not occur, then we will cause one to occur.

If those things happened, then Cheney would refuse to release any of the documents related to his enegry panel. In addition, Ken Lay who was part of that group can be confident that he will never go to jail -- that is if he has several sworn statements attesting to such discussions stored around the world to be released upon his untimely death.

7. Dupe-locking
I have moved over a much more active thread from Editorials. This is important and needs more exposure. See the other thread here:
