He smiled more than usual during the interview. He sounds like a candidate to me. Why would he let Bob and James ask him a round of questions about what he would do if he were president if he wasn't considering the job?

3. I was disappointed

I've been thinking that he may be the guy that we need. But he didn't seem to be very well prepared. At least he didn't try to bullshit his way through it. When he didn't have a good answer, he said so.

9. The only question he didn't answer was about..

partial birth abortion. Every other question he answered and answered well. I would hardly knock the guy because he didn't want to produce a sound bite on PBA. As usual, I think he did the right thing. Clark was on his toes. He knows what he's doing.

Thank you. I enjoyed that very much. I like Clark a lot and the more I hear him speak the more I'm convinced he would wipe the floor with Bush in 2004. I'd like to know what his position on a national health insurance policy is though. I think if the U.S. wants to shake the status of the third world country of the industrialized world that's the first step we need to take.

5. Clark on Health Care

I may be out on a limb here, but here's my impression. Because of his military background, I believe he would advocate some form of universal health plan. That's what the Army provides for its members and families. I base this by extrapolating from his statements on education, which stemmed from his stint as Supreme Allied Commander of NATO, and SECEUR. In that capacity he was not only responsible for military strategy and international relations, he was also responsible for the welfare and well-being of (I think) some 44,000 American servicemen and their families in Europe.
