Incredible! Freeps post "Being There" review and NO ONE GETS IT!
There's only one small mention of any connection with *, and none with Ronnie Raygun!

What is Being There about?

This is a great movie and more than just a comedy. I think it works because it contains more than just a grain of truth about how we actually operate.

1. It's a wonderful movie
I highly recommend it.... It's definitely Jr.

Don't forget to watch the outtakes at the end -- absolutely hilarious!

4. Irony
Just another example that irony is completely over the heads of these guys. I remember thinking when I saw the movie in the early 80s that it was a great comment on the Reagan era. Now that Bush II is here it's even more timely.

7. One of my all time favorites.....................
I recomend it to many, but many fail to see the point. IMO it was Seller's finest, and I too miss his brilliance.
