Alec Baldwin for President? |
|
I saw Alec Baldwin on Bill Maher's HBO show tonight and he was simply breath taking. Maher was awesome as well. But I have been thinking for quite some time now, that Alec Baldwin would make an excellent Democratic President.
What do you think?

... I haven't seen a whole lot of Alec Baldwin, but the few times I have seen him talking, he didn't seem too bright, so he could probably only win if he ran as a Republican.

Baldwin's divorce was really messy and he's rumored to be very ill-tempered. These things certainly wouldn't help him in a general election.

I thought he was the angry, passionate candidate in this race. And he actually has a chance, unlike Baldwin.

3. No, but I wouldn't kick him out of bed.. |

Enough of promoting and sending celebrities (or anyone else for that matter) to higher office without the political resume to justify the vote.
Props to Alex for speaking out, now he should get to work and run for Congress.

6. Mr. Baldwin would have to give up a few of his |
|
extracurricular activities before he could run for any public office. Alec likes to have a good time.

he is good. Tonight on Maher when no one could get a word in, he managed a few magical moments.

But please, no more actors, wrestlers and other entertainment types running our lives and how our taxes will be spent.

11. What, only thugs, killers and spooks can be politicians? |
|
Baldwin has been exceptionally active in the antiNuke movement and I greatly admiore him for this. It is because his mother had breast cancer and was exposed to radioeffluents on Long Island NY.
He is really wonderful on this (and the rdiation exposure may be prt of the propblem with his temper - radiation damages your endocrine system and proiduction of hormones)
See radiation.org for more info on what Alex has done.

12. He would probably make a great president. But he would need.. |
|
to get some legislative experience first. After that, I'd say go for it!

14. He's definitely intelligent |
|
I only caught part of the show (late from friend's house), but what I saw showed him to be on top of things. The thing that struck me was he was too soft spoken, and couldn't get a word in over the republican witch that kept throwing up strawmen...
