Question for other heterosexuals here... |
|
Do you consider it anti-heterosexual for other heterosexuals to assume that we're all anti-gay bigots?

It's presumtuous. But it's not anti-heterosexual.

4. Yes, because all generalizations are false (including this one) |
|
and because it's a bad habit to make assumptions on the basis of little or no evidence.

6. I figure sticks and stones... |
|
Being a vicitm of a 'gay bashing' incident and I am not Gay (I assume the kids in the 91 Cvic witht he eggs and beer bottles had me figure for being Gay coz I was at a bus stop late at night) ...I figure other heterosexualists should concentrate more on their own 'morality' and stop asking stupid questions...

It's a generalization. I'm a heterosexual and I'm for everything up to and including gay marriage. So I guess that I am an anti-gay bigot :(.

8. What a great question. |
|
I have a straight friend who told me that when someone makes a homophobic remark to him, he replies:
"I resent that you assume I would agree with that. I am not a narrow minded idiot."
Actually sometimes it happens to me if a person doesn't know I am gay, I just say:
"I think that is offensive. You should know that my boyfriend is gay!"
