Would voting Green in Texas matter?
This is purely speculation of course, but is it likely green votes in Texas would matter? From what I can tell TX is all but certain to go repub in november. So is this essentially a "safe" state to vote Green in?

3. Less Dem votes means more marginalization.
We've got some tough electios ahead. It's not helpful to have tens of thousands of our base not showing up for us. It contributes to bigger blowout numbers, and this has the effect of making the Democratic party look bad across the state.

4. Well Nader is no longer a green anyway
But PLEASE don't vote third party this election, that only enables these people to continue to divide our electorate.

If they were truly serious about building a third party they would start with local elections and congressional and senate seats.

I see a Green on local/state/US congress. In fact, last election I HAD to vote Green for US House. Why? The repub was running unopposed except for a Green. Upsetting at the time, as it really showed just who was serious about getting seats.

on edit: Actually that may have been Texas house. Not sure, but I'm pretty sure it was US house.

8. Well I hate to ask
But what part of Texas are you in? A green does have a chance, but they have to start in places like San Francisco or Boston.

10. Ok
After having looked it up it was state rep district 132 in 2002. And apparently besides the green candidate and repub there was a libertarian runnining too (same thing). Still, no Dem running. At least the Greens could be bothered on limited resources to run someone.

5. Now is the time to stand up and fight for Texas.
This is the best chance to return Texas to its Democratic roots. The rethuglicans are busy soiling themselves with outrageous illegal funding scams and unconstitutional gerrymandering. Work to use that and bushler's repulsive treasonous cronyism to turn the tide with the working class voters. It's never been a better time to be a Democrat in Texas.

6. Besides your vote DOES COUNT
If Gore got ONE PERCENT of the votes for Nader in Florida in the year 2000, he would have won the election.

Honestly I wouldn't be mad at Nader if he learned his lesson and realized that maybe running in 2000 was a BAD IDEA, but he ran AGAIN, thus I can't picture him as anything but an opportunist who wants his face all over the media.

9. LOCAL ELECTIONS

Third parties should concentrate on LOCAL elections. Once they have a significant base in a region, they can reliably target a congressional or Senate race.

Yes, voting for Nader DOES waste your vote!!!!!!
