Iraq Violence :: Turning Point?
The anti-US sentiment seems to be building...this seems a bit different than any of the insurgent action in the past. Not sure we've really seen the "mob-mentality" on this scale before. Felt bad for those poor US soldiers who were being pelted with rocks...pretty scary...

1. I think this may be the beginning of the long-feared civil war
in Iraq, the Mesopotamian Harpers Ferry.

2. Bush administration just wants to cut and run but they're screwed.
The whole world is watching their incompetency and fall from grace.

3. What a mess!
It's so hard to watch the news, and to see the blood and death and destruction, to see human beings who want the same things we want, and to see these American children being sent to do the bidding of thae evil force that occupies our White House. My mind always goes back to the beautiful speech the prophet Martin Luther King, Jr. gave one year before he was killed, where he spoke about the innocent victims of a war that our nation started. Bush & friends are appealing to the darker impulses of humanity, and it is so important for the USA and world that he be defeated in November. What is so strange is that he believes he is doing "God's work." For those who believe in the power of prayer, we must pray not only for the victims of bush's war, but also for this morally ill, hate-filled man.
