Anyone else notice the fear in the Rethugs eyes on cable news lately?
Take my word on it. They know they are in deep trouble right now. I not only can see the fears in their eyes, I can sense they are scared by how they are talking, and what they are talking about. They never mention jobs...ever! That is just one thing. There is more. But watch and see for yourself. It is a beautiful thing to watch.

43. Peggy Noonan on Hardball
exemplified the difference between her and I with a comment about how bringing up "geopolitical circumstances during the Reagan Administration" was not going to carry very far. She, of course, was referring to the supplying of WMD to Saddam Hussein and telling him where to use it by the US. Personally, I could not think of a "geopolitical circumstance" that would warrant such action. To me, it would be like giving Hitler poison gas, then the addresses of the Jews to use it on. What is even more telling is that after Saddam Hussein did as asked, the Reagan Administration kept given him more WMD and continued telling him where to use it.

7. I saw that fear on election night 2000
I remember, on Fox News, when Florida was called for Gore, there was a look of absolute panic, fear, and hatred in the eyes of Brit Hume and the other anchors.... I was so struck by it (it was the first time I'd ever watched Fox, I was at a friend's house), especially given what happened afterwards.

These guys really are afraid of being called to account for their crimes of the past few years.

This is dangerous; who knows what lengths frightened people will go to in order to ensure that they stay in power...

8. We need to translate this into crushing them politically and ideologically
This momentum needs to be taken to the limit, completely discrediting the lying irrationality of all the right wing positions. The treasonous actions of this administration and the previous bushler administration must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and its perpetrators demonized for the criminals they are. Conservatism must be discredited for the moronic fallacy it is and Liberalism must be restored to its true place as the dominant compassionate political position. The People's airwaves must be returned to the control of The People and wrestled from the corporatist traitors. The economy must be returned to The People and the filthy rich need to start paying their share of taxation.

We can't stop until America is America, again.

And WHEN a Dem gets back in the White House, we need to pressure-pressure-pressure so that there are NO pardons. These evil people have to be held accountable, and have to be forced to pay for what they've done. It would set an example. They have to answer for what they've done. Please note my sig line.

9. Ed Gillespie will have a seizure on national TV
the way he reacts now to anything approaching criticism of bush. Let us ensure we offer no compassion for these monsters who must spend 24 hours a day defending the last four years for the next eight months (that is, of course, you don't want to hold bush accountable for his entire, miserable, failed adult life).

A job that will soon get extremely tiring for those doing it - being a bush apologist.

17. I am in Nebraska, and no one is defending the idiot...
people are SILENT!

Those that made such a point of this clown being the "greatest president of all time", are now finding their way back into the swamp they came out of in 2000. They all know he has been the miserable failure he has always been, and for once, I can agree with the GOP.

bush is so bad, I truly believe that the powers that be in the GOP, the ones we never really see, are in harmony to get rid of the cretin. He maybe taking in cash hand over fist, but his support is nil, even in the base. He is toast, and everyone seems to know that.

It is merely a matter of time before he realizes that he is out of luck and just folds. In fact, watching him today, I saw that the posturing was gone, and the rhetoric remained the same; but no 'fire'. He is going down; like father, like son. Buh-Bye, george!

22. And what's truly sad is that the apologists are only worried that
he's making THEM look bad. That's probably the only reason they're either silent about him, or in-the-closet down on him. Probably doesn't make any difference to them that what he stands for utterly SUCKS, and is UNAMERICAN and UNPATRIOTIC, and ABSOLUTELY UNCHRIST-LIKE. Note, I did not use the word "unChristian." These people, from bush on down, make Christians look bad.

But I don't care. They deserve it. They've lain down with dogs. Now let 'em get up with fleas. And then, let them get OUT. I'm hoping it gets so bad that republi-CONS in general are set back for at least a generation. Which is about how long it'll probably take to fix everything they've broken, and mop up the mess they've left behind.

Thanks, george. Looking forward to watching you being run out of town on a rail. And I'd hope to be able to put some glue on it so you get your sorry ass stuck there.

23. I'm imagining
that a Democrat will have to fix the economic mess in part by raising taxes, to take care of Bush's irresponsible, stupid, illogical handout to the megawealthy. Then the rightwingers will be "angry white men" again :puke: and say, see, "there go those Democrats again." The Repubs are like the fun, irresponsible parent who make you sick on too much ice cream, but it is your responsible, grounded parent, the Democrats, who know you need a balanced diet to be healthy. It is the responsible parent who gets the blame and the anger.

25. I think that the hardest part these apologists have...
is realizing that they made a terrible mistake, and then having to admit it. Long after everyone else realizes that the water is muddied, they finally realize they should have gotten out.

I have had to eat crow on several occasions, part of life I guess. Then again, my ego is not so easily bruised, I can accept when I make a mistake, and try to make amends for it. That is what is so discouraging about these morans, they cannot accept the fact they might have been wrong.

Reminds me of an old adage: "Even a fool can seem wise, when he keeps his mouth shut".

The last poll I saw was from CBS. Not a Democratic leaning poll. It seems there was a poll every week. What is happening? Did Bush not get a bounce from his attacks on Gay marriage? Is he sinking? Where is the poll? You'd think there would be one out.

29. their tired rhetoric is stale....
As I listen to them go on and on about how it is Clinton's fault for this and that, and how bush inherited the economic woes we are in today, I wonder if they realize how desperate it sounds? No one believes this nonsense.

It doesn't do their cause any to always shirk responsibility. I've yet to hear bush take responsibility for anything. He always has a fall guy to do it. It's condi rice, it's george tenet, it's the CIA agents....

I wonder if mommy and daddy paid someone to fall off a bike when he was growing up so that he wouldn't have to. It's sad, pathetic and shameful for a grown man, much less the president of the united states, to engage in this sort of behavior.

Over at Faux News, Brit and his All-Stars look like they're attending a funeral. Fred Barnes is even more fidgety than usual. They speak in low mournful tones and there's no more crowing about things like the aircraft carrier landing. Brit Hume interviewed Dick Cheney and looked embarrassed when Cheney still wouldn't back off on his WMD claims.

it is the same old tired crap. Tax cuts and terror; they have nothing else.

Truly pathetic, and they call progressives morans! Now that the tax cut garbage has been exposed, and the the 'terror threat' has been shown to be feasible, but not the crushing of America, like they would have us believe; they are left with an empty shell.

Too bad, they messed up and got caught. Next question, "does bush care"? I'm willing to say no. He will leave the WH with approx. $100 million. If that money he has been grubbing goes to a campaign effort, you'll fool me. They'll spend some, but it will just go into his account in the end.
