Received this note from a writer friend, and thought that a DU'er may may have the answer to pass along.
"Please help me. I have been trying to find a tape of a Bush press conference at which he made the remark that he would act to stop the killing in the Middle East, "When enough people die." "I saw this on C-Span but can get no help from them to find it. I have to know exactly the date that the press conference was held. The problem is that there is no record that can be searched for the phrase. There was a press conference on May 11 that I could find on the White House website. It may have been the one but the White House transcript and recording does not have the reporter's question or the Bush response. " "
Thank you for any ideas that you have.

Whenever I want to find a really stupid Bush quote, I use google. Somebody, somewhere has included it on their webpage. I hadn't heard this one. I have heard his original middle east policy categorized this way.

2. Also, I think the Washington Post prints transcripts of speeches-- |
|
not from WH source, but from a private transcipt company. NYT too, and they transcribe from their own tapes, but they charge after a week or so. Good luck.
