"Same sex" it is.
But legally, it should be just "marriage".

4. How about we just call it "marriage"? |
|
And define marriage as the legally recognised committed relationship of two people, entitled due to that legal relationship to certain rights and privileges? Works for me.

6. Same sex is preferrable |
|
Although, yes, civil marriage is better yet.
Gay marriage is a misnomer, as it does not include bisexuals who do not identify as gay and wish to marry their same sex partners.

Marriage? The labels are superfluous.

10. I'm not just fighting for "gay marriage" rights... |
|
I'm fighting for "equal (civil) marriage" rights.
If the govt were to change all references from "marriage" to "civil unions", I'd be fine with that. It'd be the end of second-class citizen status, which is key to me.

12. If it needs to be qualified... |
|
I prefer "same gender marriage". It subtly removes the icky 'sex' connotations that so many right wingers seem to be knotted up over.
