Charlie Rose of PBS: Is this guy a major MediaWhore, or WHAT?

Charlie Rose has Bill Gates on right now, and Rose has his nose so far up Gates' rectum, I think I can see Rose's nostrils poking out of Gates' mouth!

I mean, Gates is just dishing out steaming shoveloads of corporatist manure and Rose is just eating it up. Gates is going about how we need to import more foreign programmers, and Rose's head is nodding like a bobblehead doll.

How on earth did this fuck get a show on PBS?

He isnt there to grill the guests, its more of a personality interview.

He treats all of his guests pretty much the same from what ive seen.

I used to like the guy; he seemed to have a liberal bent.

But some months after Selection 2000, Bill Maher was on his show, and Maher was dissing Dubya. Maher was comparing Dubya to some guy in the movie "Gladiator" who was totally ill-prepared and unfit to lead (can't really say because I didn't see the movie). Maher was making his point very clearly, but Charlie Rose, for some reason, kept interrupting him and saying, "No, that's not true" and "No, it's not." He was totally whoring for Bush.

Sheesh, why do these Beltway cognoscenti types always have the knee-jerk need to defend Dubya or pump him up?

That's when I stopped watching Charlie Rose.
