The 9/11 families are a huge trump in this election!
They are loud, they are vocal, and they are big time pissed at George W. Bush! Each and every time Dubya and gang try to use 9/11 for political gain in the election; the families will rain down on them with lightning and thunder. The backlash has already begun with the very first political ads that Bush is running.

Normal Americans have great sympathy for the family members of the 9/11 victims. When a family member appears on TV or in print, American's take listen to what they are saying and take it to heart.

AND... when they here a callous Bush shitbird like Karen Hughes dismiss the families concerns of Bush exploitation by stating "With all due respect, I just completely disagree, and I believe the vast majority of the American people will as well," .. Uh Huh...sure Karen... What you're telling us is that we disagree with the families who lost loved ones on 9/11 and agree with a dude who hid out in Nebraska.. Er..OK Karen!

This is beautiful folks... Understand that 9/11 is a very important part of the Bush campaign reelection strategy...If it's trumped at every turn by the credible 9/11 family members, then Bush has lost about 75 percent of his MOJO. Then all he has left is Queer weddings!

AND remember...The GOP choose New York for the GOP Convention for one reason... exploitation of 9/11. My hope is by Convention time, the Bush gang and the GOP has been completely exposed regarding their 9/11 exploitation and when they arrive in New York they won't dare set foot on that sacred area know as Ground Zero.

1. You know they are looking at the reaction to the new AD
and have to be wondering.

The firefighters and victems speak with a major voice.

5. the 'firefighters' are NOT New Yorkers.....
One, titled "Safer, Stronger," also features a one-second shot of firefighters removing the flag-draped remains of a victim from the twisted debris.

Both ads reinforce the Ground Zero imagery with frontal shots of two firefighters. Unlike the paid actors and actresses in most of the footage, they are not ringers, but their red headgear gives them away as non-New Yorkers. The Bush campaign declined to reveal where the burly smoke-eaters actually work.

Bush officials defended the imagery as totally appropriate.

4. exactly!!
which is a huge disservice to them and the country. The lack of media attention to their anger makes it appear to the rest of the country that they are ok with W. running for reelection on the blood of their deceased loved ones

7. Dems need to push the hearings angle big time!
Bush is REFUSING to talk to the whole commission.

he is REFUSING to spend more than one hour with the chair and vice chair of the commission

he is REFUSING to testify under oath.

WHAT IS BUSH TRYING TO HIDE, AND WHY????

8. Wholeheartedly agree, trumad
They all are a sorry bunch of bungholes who try to portray Bush* as a leader who has a handle on the pulse of the country. How can anyone in their right mind think they can capitalize on this horrific tragedy?

I listened to Karen Hughes this morning, and couldn't believe my ears. She was less than sincere, most likely because she was trying to act as if what she was saying had a ring of truth.

These assholes make me sick. I don't agree that it's too bad the ads can't continue, thinking it will turn more people off. Actually, I think pulling the ads while people are angry over them is better for us because it doesn't give the Bush* crowd enough time to spin and bamboozle the less enlightened voters. It's another anger seed that had been planted, and they can't spin these ads anymore, lest they open more wounds.

There is another blessing in this as well. I understand they spent 10.5 million for these ads - well, good! That's 10.5 less in their coffers.

Yup, they are a sorry bunch.

10. and the freepers are already demonizing the families
of 9/11 victims.

Its a nice mentality of "hey, I don't care if you lost family! 9/11 was about us, and it was good for Bush, so get over it!"

are (presumably disaffected) repubs, or at least * voters. Methinks Karen picked the wrong group to go to war with.
