US and international community made it clear they would not support Aristide...

talking about forceful removal

our government gave Ar. 3 options
-stay and be killed because we'd do nothing to help him
-leave eventually, but not without much killing first
-sign resignation and leave with our help

What choice would YOU have made???

My last edit: got a phone call, so I missed most of the rest, but he was talking about how poor Haiti is,

If you're poor, black, and don't have oil, we don't care what happens to you. We'll let the thugs take over.

We're spending 18billion for reconstruction in Iraq. 4 bill of that is for clean H20 and sanitation. That's for one of the wealthiest countries in the world - 1st or 2nd in the world in oil reserves.

Why can't we do roads, H20, sanitation in Haiti, rather than trying to destroy their democratically elected government?

2. Sounds like he's changing his position from yesterday
I wonder if the coup supporters on this board who were so ready to point out Harkin's statement yesterday that Aristide wasn't kidnapped, are listening to him now. :D

4. That's what I'm thinking
I have never been more proud of the Democrats as I was yesterday while watching the CBC grill Noriega. :hi:

5. That hearing was incredible
I wish I could get a transcript but it won't be available for 3 months!

6. This is good...
this is a good thing!

People don't want to believe until it's shoved in their faces... despite the fact that what's being presented is nothing new and has been proven to be true before now.
