CIA Adviser Kay Amasses Evidence of Saddam’s WMD

DEBKAfile Updates DEBKA-Net-Weekly 118 July 25 Exclusive

US President George W. Bush, British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Australian Prime Minister John Howard are preparing a rejoinder to quell the domestic credibility crises Iraqi WMD skeptics have whipped up in their countries, with the help of anti-American, anti-war factions in politics and foreign intelligence services – particularly in some parts of Europe, such as Russia, Netherlands, France, Germany, Denmark and even the UK.

That rejoinder will draw on the paper and on-the-ground evidence amassed day by day by a new coalition intelligence research project launched a month ago under Dr. David Kay, a former UN weapons inspector, to winkle out hard evidence of Saddam Hussein’s proscribed weapons programs.

As far as I'm concerned, anything on Debka has the credibility of the BatBoy files from Weekly World News.

2. Kay has no credibility
He was the one who Ritter got into a shouting match with on Paula Zahn awhile back, isn't he?

3. Don't think so
Kay was MSNBC's hired gun that they used to beat the drums to war. He was just sure that there were WMD's everywhere. I seen the shouting match you are speaking of on CNN and I remember it was a different guy, though I don't remember the guys name.

4. Kay's a nut who thinks he's going to find evidence in a pile of old papers
I saw a network news segment of David Kay where he discussed his search for WMD. It was actually so pathetic I laughed out loud. He was in this room full of messy old documents stacked here and there and then they showed all these people on computers scanning in and working on these documents. All the time, Kay was insisting he would find something somewhere. It was laughable but it was also sad and pathetic.

It also made me annoyed because of the waste of time and resources with all these people working with this material. It's utterly ridiculous, to be wasting time, effort and dollars on this pathetic country that we have beat up for over 10 years now.

I really hope a change is coming soon in the attitudes of Americans because I can't take much more of this foolishness and out-and-out stupidity.

5. It sounds like the LAWYERS have taken over the WMD search
They are going to review documents until they find a phrase that could be interpreted as an attempt by Hussein to try to reconstitute his weapons program. The bar is now sufficiently lowered that this guy will find something. Might be 16 words or less. But that will be their evidence.

Pathetic. Outrageous.
