new meme: Republicans "hate our freedom"
Use it freely, and everywhere, as an explanation for everything from election-stealing to the Patriot Act to their destruction of American wilderness to their attempts to completely control the airwaves and broadcast content, etc.

Let's ju-jistu their rhetoric: The GOP behaves the way it does because "they hate our freedom"

1. That's what Edwards said...
...in one of the debates. Possibly NH. Said Bush "can't stand our freedom" when responding to one of those inane "Are trial lawyers evil?" questions.

Nice Rorschach avatar. Who watches the Watchmen?

3. "Enemies of Liberal Democracy"
The second World War was fought between Totalitarian Fascism and Liberal Democracy. Whenever I hear 'publicans vilifying "liberalism" I can't help but think about which side of that fundamental ideological divide they're really on.

5. Actually, they were on the side of Hiter - look thru the newspapers of the
time.

Almost to a man, the repuke party was for supporting Hitler or staying out of the war.

They gave FDR grief for wanting to aid England and France.

Tried, and succeeded on cutting off his "lend-lease" program of supplies.

Many promininet pukes did this.

Different times, some different players, same bad ideas.
